President Zardari felicitates Azerbaijan leadership on Independence Day

President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday extended felicitations to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the government and the people of Azerbaijan on their Independence Day. In a message, the president said Pakistan and Azerbaijan are bound by a deep-rooted fraternal relationship that dates back to their independence, which draws its strength from a shared faith, rich common cultural heritage and values. He noted that over the years, bilateral ties have evolved into a robust and enduring partnership characterised by mutual trust, understanding and steadfast support for each other on issues of core national interest.
