Pakistan and Malaysia on Thursday reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation as a joint military exercise between the two countries concluded at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi, Nowshera district. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday said the federal government had exhausted all efforts to secure the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government’s cooperation in combating terrorism and avoiding the imposition of emergency and governor’s rule, maintaining that the decision had been taken reluctantly after months of unsuccessful engagement.
