Two more independents join PML-N

In a significant development for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday, two more independent candidates hailing from Balochistan, Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq, have pledged their allegiance to the party. The duo, victorious in their respective constituencies of Quetta’s PB-41 and Chaman’s PB-51 during the recently held general elections, met with PML-N President and prime minister nominee Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore to formalise their commitment. "They have played a role in the stability of Pakistan by joining PML-N which is worthy of praise," he remarked. Shehbaz emphasised the need for stability over chaos in Pakistan's political landscape, stating, "Pakistan needs stability not chaos." He reiterated the importance of dialogue and collaboration in resolving the country's challenges, stressing, "The problems can be solved only by talking and working together, not by fighting." During the meeting, Shehbaz extended gratitude to Gello and his associates for their decision to align with PML-N. He lauded their commitment and welcomed them into the party fold. Gello, in turn, emphasised the pivotal role played by Nawaz Sharif and PML-N in the development of Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan. "I envision a future where the people of Balochistan thrive in education, healthcare, and overall development," Gello stated, underlining his aspirations for his province's progress. Shehbaz reiterated PML-N's dedication to the advancement of Balochistan, echoing Nawaz Sharif's deep-rooted concern for the province's development. "We are committed to establishing Daanish schools, providing laptops to the youth, and equipping them with IT and other skills," he affirmed, outlining the party's agenda for empowering the youth.
